WWDC has been announced for June 7th 2021. Sadly it won’t be an in person event again this year due to physical distancing measures. That being said I have no doubt that it’ll be an exciting one! I’m looking forward to seeing the future of iOS, MacOS, iPadOS, watchOS and TvOS. Hopefully we’ll also see a few more products in the Mac range transition to Apple Silicon.

While this years event is all digital once again, one of the benefits of that is that Apple has chosen to make the entire conference including the engineering sessions free of charge. This is a boon for aspiring and established developers alike. Ahead of the conference Apple has also tidied up the free Apple Developer app. You can download it from the App Store today.

As in recent years, Apple has announced a coding challenge for students in swift playgrounds. Winners will receive various WWDC merchandise, free annual access to the developer program and much more.

What are you hoping gets announced at this years event? Let me know in the comments!
