A new report published on Friday afternoon by 9to5 Mac reveals that Apple has made filings for a new Pro-Level display with the codename J327. The details are scarce as the new display is likely in early development stages and likely won’t come to market for some time.

The report suggests that the display will include an integrated A13 chip. While details are scarce perhaps the tech giant could be using the chip for machine learning purposes or even graphics acceleration. Although given the age of the A13 Bionic chip by the time this new display ships, there will be much newer and more capable chips that the company could use instead.

Earlier in the year, it was rumoured that Apple was working on a display at a more affordable price tag. Perhaps the new filings related to this display instead given the high tech nature of the already fantastic Pro Display XDR. It would also make sense if the A13 chip was indeed designed for the more affordable display as it would help to keep production costs down.
