Taking over from Steve Dowling and before that the formidable Katie Cotton, Low takes over the reins for communication at Apple. She’ll be responsible not only for the company’s communication with the press and public relations but also has the new responsibility of overseeing employee communications.

The British executive has had a long and respectable career in the technology industry. What’s more is that with her hire and Apple’s recognition of her talent, representation in senior leadership continues to gradually improve.

Stella has over 30 years of experience in marketing and communications. Prior to joining Apple in 2021, she was Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer at Cisco. She has also held leadership roles at Dell Technologies and EMC.

Originally from the UK, Stella holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from London South Bank University. She serves on the board of the Bay Area division of the American Heart Association.

Hopefully, we’ll continue to see the Cupertino tech giant add even more diversity to its leadership roster in the coming years. This is a good sign of things to come.
