Lockscreen updates for iPad

Apple is planning to bring the new lock screen experience, which debuted on iPhone last year, to the iPad. At least according to a leaker on Twitter with a semi-reliable track record. This means that iPad users will finally be able to enjoy the same lock screen customization tools iPhone users have been using for a while now.

Lock Screen Widgets

One of the new features iPads are expected to have in iPadOS 17 is Lock Screen widgets. This will allow users to add widgets to their Lock Screen, making it more functional and personalized. Users will be able to add widgets for their calendar, weather, music, and more, giving them access to important information without having to unlock their devices.

Wallpaper Themes

Another feature that is expected to come to iPads in iPadOS 17 is the ability to choose from different wallpaper themes. These include Photo Shuffle, Emoji, and Weather, among others. Users will also be able to choose from different photo tints and styles, as well as a wallpaper depth effect. This will allow users to customize their lock screen to suit their personal style and preferences.

Clock Customisation

iPadOS 17 is also expected to bring clock customization to iPads. This means that users will be able to choose from different clock styles for their Lock Screen. It will include analogue and digital clocks with custom fonts and colours. Users will also be able to link their lock screens to Focus Modes.

Apple’s 2023 Pride Watch Face and Band: A Sneak Peek

Every year, Apple has been releasing new Pride Apple Watch faces and bands during WWDC. The company has not yet announced a new design for this year, but a leak has revealed what it is going to look like.

As shown in the images below obtained by @nicolas09F9 and @aaronp613 from Apple’s servers, the 2023 Pride watch face and band have a confetti-like design. The design uses rainbow colours as is tradition for Pride themes bands and faces. Although not shown in the images, it’s possible that the face will be animated too.

The leak also suggests that Apple unintentionally made the images accessible on its back end as they were swiftly pulled down.
