The delay of the Apple Intelligence-powered Siri is perhaps one of the most significant Apple controversies, certainly in recent times. When highly respected Apple commentators like John Gruber are scathing, you know it’s a big deal. But while much of the criticism of Apple in recent days is valid, I don’t think it’s an existential crisis for Apple as some people are making out. Nor do I think Apple has “lost” the AI race.
