This collection of wallpapers was created from photos taken by me and a friend of mine in 2019 when we worked together at Apple. We used iPhones XS and XS Max to capture the images. I’ve lovingly edited and upscaled them to match the aspect ratio of today’s Apple devices.
There are limits to what can be done with the original 12 megapixel images. But on 4k displays or lower, the results are pretty great. With a softer image on 6K monitors like the ProDisplay XDR.
Surprisingly, images taken on a 2019 iPhone still hold up exceptionally well today, albeit with a bit of extra work. Just shows how far we’ve come. Now they’re yours to enjoy for free and available for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
